How we verify
Every story published goes through the same process before it runs.
- Sourcing. Claims are drawn from official documents, direct reporting, or corroborated coverage aggregated from established outlets. When relying on a single source, that's stated plainly rather than implied to be independently confirmed.
- Cross-checking. Before publication, claims are checked against various other sources. If sources disagree, we note the disagreement rather than picking a side.
- Editorial review. The Ushuaia Times publishes weekly. That's a deliberate trade-off — we'd rather take the time to get a story right once a week than publish faster and have to correct more often.
The Ushuaia Times is named for Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, reflecting Argentina’s geographic reach and connection to the region.
Despite the name, The Ushuaia Times covers all of Argentina, as well as developments across South America and the region.
