Editorial standards
The Ushuaia Times is an independent news site covering Argentina in English and Spanish, produced by a team of reporters and editors. We aim to tell you what happened, what is confirmed, and how we know.
How we verify
- Sourcing. Our reporters and editors draw on official documents and statements and our own coverage. A claim runs as fact when it is supported by various independent sources.
- Editorial review. We publish daily, but we don’t believe speed should come at the expense of getting a story right. Every article is reviewed before publication for accuracy, context, attribution and clarity.
Opinion and analysis are labeled as such. Our Editorials section reflects the view of the publication's editors and is kept separate from our news coverage. It is never presented as straight news, and it does not influence how we report facts elsewhere on the site.
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note significant corrections in the story. To report an error, use Contact.
The Ushuaia Times does not accept payment in exchange for coverage. We're open to advertising and sponsorships, but any of it stays clearly labeled and separate from our editorial judgment. See Affiliates for details.
