By using The Ushuaia Times (ushuaiatimes.com), you agree to these terms. What information we process when you use the site, and why, is in our Privacy Policy.

Editorial content

The Ushuaia Times publishes news, analysis, summaries, guides and other informational material. News can develop quickly, and information may change after publication. We make reasonable efforts to verify material before publishing and describe our standards on our Editorial Standards page. Our guides, including the Explained section, are for general information only and are not financial, legal or immigration advice.

Accounts

Reading The Ushuaia Times is free, and so is an account. If you already have a paid subscription with us, you can cancel it at any time through Manage subscription on your account page.

Unless otherwise indicated, original editorial content created by The Ushuaia Times is protected by applicable copyright law. Third-party photographs, trademarks, quotations, links and other material remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. Nothing on this site grants permission to reproduce third-party material.

External and affiliate links

The site links to external publications, government agencies, companies and other websites for reference and convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or policies. Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what information The Ushuaia Times (ushuaiatimes.com) processes when you use the site and why. The rules for using the site are in our Terms of Use.

Reading the site

You can read all of The Ushuaia Times without an account. Like most websites, our service providers process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site.

Cookies and local storage

The Ushuaia Times uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to run the site. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.

We use cookies only to make sure the site runs smoothly and all of its functions work properly, including keeping you signed in and remembering your display preferences.

Because these are strictly necessary, we do not show a cookie banner. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings, though you may then need to sign in again.

The Markets ticker on the homepage and on economy and business stories comes from TradingView. Nothing from TradingView loads until you tap Markets to open it; after that, TradingView may set its own cookies, governed by TradingView's privacy policy.

Free accounts

If you create a free account, we keep your email address so you can sign in, and the clubs you follow and the stories you save so they appear wherever you sign in. If you choose to receive our free newsletter, every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Payments

If you have a paid subscription with us, payments are handled securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details. We keep your email address and basic subscription details so you can sign in and manage or cancel it.

Ask the editors

We no longer take questions through an Ask the editors page. Questions sent through it are kept with the sender’s email address (and name, if given) only until they are deleted, at most 90 days after they were sent. We never showed those details or added them to a mailing list.

Emails and unsubscribing

Every newsletter or alert we send, including our newsletter and any Sports Desk emails, has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Emails about your account, such as sign-in links and subscription receipts, are part of the service and continue while you have an account.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email contact@ushuaiatimes.com from the address you use with us and we will delete your account and remove you from our mailing lists. If you have a paid subscription, cancel it first in Manage subscription on your account page. We keep payment records only as long as the law requires.

Children

The Ushuaia Times is a general news site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us an email address or other personal information, write to contact@ushuaiatimes.com and we will delete it.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the site and its services. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service, and some are based outside Argentina, so your information may be processed in other countries.

Changes

We may update this policy at any time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
