How the Clausura works
The Clausura is the second Liga Profesional tournament of 2026. The 30 clubs are split into two zones of 15. Over 16 rounds each club plays the 14 others in its zone, plus two matches against clubs from the other zone, which is why some matches are between zones. The top eight in each zone move on to the playoffs: single-match knockouts through the round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals, with the final on neutral ground.
