The provinces
Argentina has 23 provinces and a self-governing capital, the City of Buenos Aires. Tap one on the map to see its capital, its governor, how many people live there, what it lives on and our latest stories about it.
Each square is one province, placed roughly where it sits. The squares are all the same size: this is not a map to scale.
Choose a province on the map to see its facts and our latest stories about it.
Facts are checked by the newsroom. Governors change after elections, so each province shows the date we last checked it.
